Signal Bay Waterpark is at 9300 Signal View Drive, Manassas Park, VA. It is a 27,000 square foot aquatic park located in Signal Hill Park and features a zero-depth entry leisure pool along with a lazy river, slides, and water cannons. For convenience, showers are also available. When you are in Manassas, be sure to visit this attraction and keep the following rules handy.

Pool Rules

  • Swimming is only allowed when there is a Manassas Park lifeguard on duty.
  • The facility is available for individuals 12 years old and over to use. Those younger than 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult who is at least 16 years old.
  • Children under 5 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult wearing proper swim attire who is within arm’s reach inside the pool.
  • Before entering the pool, it is required that all swimmers take a soap shower first.
  • The final break is referred to as 15 minutes before park closing. During the final break, there is no adult swim.
  • Management reserve their right to prohibit access to any part of the water park to any visitor as necessary.
  • Any individual who has any communicable disease (which includes diarrhea within the past 2 weeks), inflamed eyes, ear or nasal discharge, or skin disease are not allowed to use our facility.
  • Changing diapers is only allowed in the restrooms.
  • Incontinent adults and non-trained children are required to wear swim diapers. The swim diapers must be changed on a regular basis.
  • Flotation devices, inflatable toys, and water guns are not allowed.
  • No dangerous acts such as ‘piggyback’ rides, pulling, dunking, or horseplay are allowed. No competitions or extended breath holding. Also, please do not drink the pool water.
  • It is prohibited to distract or socialize with the lifeguards on duty.
  • No flips or dives from the side of the pool from any depth of water is allowed. All jumps must be made feet first and forward facing.
  • No alcohol, glass bottles, tobacco, or gum is allowed inside of the facility. Drinks and food may be consumed only in designated areas.
  • Use of profanity is not tolerated.
  • Any patron who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave the premises.
  • Only authorized staff are allowed in the pool office, filter room and chemical room.
  • The pool will follow the CDC sanitation guidelines in the event there is an accident that involves human discharge in the pool vomit or fecal matter).
  • Please be aware that the pool area has poor acoustics and it might be necessary for lifeguards to raise their voices to get the situation correct. Please do not interpret it as being disrespectful or rude.
  • Our pool staff is not responsible for damage or loss to personal belongings.
  • Staff will try to hold onto items that are left at our facility for one week, and at that point it may be thrown away, donated, or recycled.
  • At all times, please watch your children. The safety of your child is your responsibility.
  • Individuals suing of the Department pools are doing so at their expense, responsibility, and risk.

Clothing Rules

  • Swim Attire Policy: Provided that they do not pose any safety hazards and clean, white t-shirt can be worn inside the pool at the lifeguard’s discretion.
  • Swimwear must be made of lightweight, quick-drying, low water absorbent, colorfast material that is suitable for swimwear like nylon, spandex, or lycra.
  •  You are not allowed to wear undergarments with bathing suits.
  • You are required to wear a bathing suit that has adequate coverage. Thong and Brazilian bottoms are not allowed.

Lifeguard Signals

  • A single short whistle blast is used for getting a patron’s attention. If you do hear a single short whistle blast, please turn your attention to the lifeguard.
  •  A single continuous whistle is a sign for clearing the pool. Your attention should be directed to the lifeguard to get information on evacuating the pool.
  • Two brief whistle blasts is a sign to get another lifeguard’s attention.
  • Thee brief whistle blasts is the signal that there is an emergency. Please make sure the other lifeguards know about the emergency.

Lazy River

  • Children who are under 43 inches tall must be accompanied by a chaperone (age 16+) and within arm’s reach when in Lazy River. It is encouraged that toddlers and infants share their chaperone’s tube.
  • Only one tube is allowed per person and one person in each tube unless under 43 inches.
  • At all times you must stay inside the tube while in Lazy River.
  • Only lying or sitting in tubes is permitted. No standing on the tubes is allowed.
  • Entrance to Lazy River is located at the park’s front entrance.
  • Any of the stairs around the Lazy River can be used to exit.
  • While on the deck, please do not stand or sit on tubes.
  • In Lazy River no life jackets are allowed.

Crossing Activity

  • To use this activity children must be 43 inches tall at least.
  • Only one individual at a time is allowed across the path; and then the next person can go when the final person has exited the pool.
  • After you fall off, you must then swim to the exit.
  • Crawl or use ropes, no running across the pads is allowed.

Activity Pool

  • The slides are for children under 12 years old.
  • Children must ride feet first on the slides.
  • Only one individual must down a slide at once.
  • No floats or toys are allowed.
  • No life jackets, loose jewelry, suits that have metal clasps, goggles, or loose clothing are allowed on the slides.
  • Flotation devices approved by the US Guard are permitted only in the Activity pool. Use by non-swimmers requires there to be direct supervision from a paying adult wearing swim attire who at all times is within arm’s reach.
