Farewell and Thank You: Honoring Robert Dellinger’s Legacy at Battlefield Law Group
After six years of dedicated service at Battlefield Law Group PLLC, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Robert L. Dellinger, a distinguished partner whose legal acumen and diligent approach to law have left an indelible mark on our firm and our community. Robert, who will be transitioning to a role in public service with the federal government, will be greatly missed by colleagues, and clients.
A Journey Rooted in Service and Excellence
Robert Dellinger, a native of Manassas, began his academic journey at High Point University in North Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Political Science. This solid foundation propelled him to Roger Williams School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island, from which he graduated in 2008.
Upon his return to Manassas, Robert was admitted to the Virginia State Bar the same year. His early career saw him gaining invaluable experience at a small firm in Manassas, focusing on small business issues. In 2012, he transitioned to another firm, honing his expertise in domestic/family and criminal law—a focus that would define his tenure at Battlefield Law Group.
A Champion for Clients in Domestic and Criminal Law
Robert’s practice at Battlefield Law Group was distinguished by his unwavering commitment to his clients. Focusing on domestic and family law, Robert expertly navigated complex and emotionally charged issues such as divorce, child custody, child visitation, child support, enforcement of court orders, property distribution, and spousal support. His approach was always client-centric, ensuring each case received the personal attention necessary to protect and advance his clients’ interests.
In addition to his domestic law practice, Robert was a formidable criminal defense attorney, representing clients in criminal matters ranging from domestic assault and battery to more severe charges such as malicious wounding, violation of protective orders, and firearm charges. His extensive experience also covered traffic-related offenses, including speeding, reckless driving, and DWI.

Robert’s reputation as a diligent and passionate advocate is well-earned. He is well-versed in the rules and procedures of the Virginia court system and has represented clients across Northern Virginia. His dedication to vigorously defending his clients’ rights and tirelessly working towards favorable outcomes has garnered respect and admiration from both clients and peers.

His dedication was mirrored by his faithful companion, Luna, who became our cherished office dog, bringing joy and a sense of camaraderie to our team.
